Jacob is total Boy

Whenever Jacob is not playing his role as a Big Brother, he loves playing outside and being a boy.

He likes to hit the baseball off of the tee, or even have his dad pitch him some balls.  It's pretty funny to watch.  Greg will pitch Jacob a ball and if there is something that went wrong, Greg will say in his Coach-like voice, "Beanie, you swung too late."  or "Sorry, bad pitch."  Thus, if Jacob misses the ball, he now self-coaches himself before his dad gets a chance to:  "Sorry, Dad...too late."

When they are not playing baseball, they like to throw the football to each other.  The only problem though is that Jacob is not very good at his aim just yet...he's only three after all.  So, Greg gets to dominate that game.

Greg and I have recently caught Jacob playing in the dirt and have no idea where he even learned that playing in the dirt is "cool."  But, he takes his tools outside to "fix something" or "to cut Moma's tree." Typical boy!

Hold him a little longer
Rock him a little more
Tell him another story
(You've only told him four)
Let him sleep on your shoulder
Rejoice in his happy smile
He is only two and a half
For such a little while
