Momma, He's Touching Me!!!

The Leier Infirmary is coming to a close. After a week of runny noses, sneezing, ear infections, possible dehydration and food poisoning (momma), I'm happy to report that I am closing the Leier Infirmary.  So, now it's back to watching the boys and seeing what mischief they can get into.

We have learned that Joseph loves being by his brother.  When we can't figure out what's wrong with Joseph and why he's incessantly crying, all we have to do is pick up Joe and bring him to wherever Jacob is.  One night last week, I couldn't get Joe to stop crying, so Jacob climbed up on the couch and sat next to Joe to watch his nightly cartoons.  Joe kept looking to his left to watch his brother, and then forward to watch what Jacob was watching. He kept repeating this routine:  left, forward, left, forward.  Finally, Joseph decided to grab his brother's hair, lovey, ear.  Then, as you could guess, I finally heard the phrase that will echo through eternity:  "MOMMA!!  Joe is touching me!"  When I tried to pick up Joe since he was clearly bothering Jacob, I got, "Mom, what are you doing?"  I explained to Jacob that I was moving Joe to my other side since he was bothering Jacob.  Jacob then told me, "It's okay, Momma...you don't have to move him.  I like him doing that."  Something that we'll probably never hear again!
