Need a Bigger Boat

In the 1975 movie, Jaws, Roy Scheider says the one sentence that would become one of my father's favorites: "I think we need a bigger boat."  Scheider utters the line when he gets a good look at the shark circling his small fishing boat.  Now, many use this phrase to describe any insurmountable task.  My father likes to use it when I describe a situation that has happened in my house with my boys.  This is one of those times that he would use it.

Yesterday, after Jacob finished gathering all of his gifts from his birthday and played with each one of them, he found the cardboard Ninja Turtle masks that Auntie Jan gave him.  He put the mask on and declared that he was "Raphael."  He would call me "Donatello" (the turtle who wears the purple mask) and make me wear the mask as well. Then, he would instruct me to call him by his Turtle Name.  When I was cleaning the kitchen, I heard him yell from the bathroom, "Donatello, Can you come in here please?  I have a problem."  I walked in the bathroom and found him on the toilet.  He had just done his thing and said, "I don't need you to wipe my butt...I need you to wipe Raphael's butt."  From that point on, I would ask him to do something (ie, clean up his toys, etc.) and he would say, "Momma, you have to say, 'Raphael, please pick up Jacob's toys.'"

After the encounter with the Ninja Turtles, I asked Joseph what he wanted for dinner.  His response? Well...you can see it here...
Thus after he declared what he wanted for dinner - as he says for breakfast, lunch and dinner, he got a taco.  I'm not even sure where the accent came from...probably someone on Juanita's side of the family! He then shows me/tells me "ninja turtle."

Once his belly was full, this is how he presented himself at the table....

I live in a frat house.
And I think I need a bigger boat.
