Piles of laundry & endless kisses
Legos under feet & monster trucks galore
This is all that I’m thankful for.
Belly laughs & smiling eyes
Morning tantrums & piercing cries
Late-night monsters & pee on the floor
This is all that I’m grateful for.
Bedtime prayers & manners so sweet
Happy dinner plates & rewarding treats
Pretend play & sharing of toys
Thank you, God, for our little boys.
Blessings of happiness & overall health
Passed-on traditions & spiritual wealth
Family support from near and far
God, I want not of anything more.
Our family is content with the life we created
Based on hopes and dreams of so long ago.
Please continue to bless our lives as we live them
And turn to You always, whether in joy or woe.
