We decorated cookies with tons of Red-staining icing, lots of festive sprinkles and loads of mini M&M's. Emme and Jacob sat on the floor eating their creations while Mrs. Claus entertained all the other kids with stories from the North Pole.
She also created "magic water" turning clear water into different colors. Once we started singing "Santa Claus is coming to town," the Jolly St. Nicholas entered the room. He was greeted with many smiles, cheers and some kids who hid behind their Mommas! The talented Santa took his seat at the piano and played his own music while leading the children in a few Christmas carols. In his stroller, Joe was far away from the scene while Jacob still clung tightly to my legs.
While the singing continued, the Mascot came out wearing a Santa suit also.
Jacob thought this was more approachable than the Man of the Month. So, he asked me to take his picture, gave him a high five and then followed the Wolf around the room. While we were standing in line to take pictures with Santa, Jacob still entertained himself with the Wolf...probably because Mr. Wolf doesn't know the low-down on Jacob's Naughty/Nice Updates.
When it was finally time to take the picture, Joseph wouldn't let me leave him alone with Kris Kringle. Jacob wanted to talk his ear off about what he wanted for Christmas, but the lady in charge of the photos wouldn't let that happen since she was directing our focus on the camera. There were a few Q&A's between the Old Man and Jacob, but I wasn't privy to that information.
