Happy New Year!

On New Year's Eve, the fireworks began around dinner time. Jacob was playing in his room alone when we heard a few booming outside.  Since we are accosumted to fireworks on New Year's Eve, Greg and I didn't give the noises a moment's thought.  Jacob, however, new to the sounds, came running out of his room into the living room to alert us that there was "a strange sound coming from outside."  After Greg explained to him what the noises were, Jacob decided that he needed protection for his ears.  So, he wore his Eagle hat the rest of the night to keep the booms from hurting his ears.

Joseph, started his New Year off with a dance...on the kitchen table.  I don't know where he ever got the idea to dance on a table?

On New Year's Day, the bad weather was going to prevent us from going outside again, so we made a run for it early.  The boys and I played outside early just for a few minutes before the rain made us go back in.

  2. I had never seen the video of the boys on the slide! That was sooo funny, I laughed til I had tears! The grunting that was coming from both boys was hysterical!!! I don't know who was doing the most grunting---Joseph because of trying to get in the right position to slide down or Jacob because of trying to get Joseph in the right position and trying to hold on to him!!!! And then Jacob saying that Joseph is so heavy!!!! Just too funny.
