When the boys are able to visit their grandparents, I have no idea what will take place. One continues to take ownership of the interaction by telling the grandparents what to do. The other continues to surprise us with the heights he can climb...or the things he can tackle. I'm not usually around with the camera to witness all of the interactions with each of the grandparents, but I was able to capture these two educational moments.
During a bath, Opa taught Joseph about the letters of the alphabet and their adhesion properties...whether it be to other letters, within words, or, rather...to the human skin.

While watching cartoons, Opa taught Jacob about point of view. Regardless of what he is watching on television, Jacob can get a different perspective of the story based on where he views it. He can become an active participant by watching the show from a different angle, up high--for instance--instead of on the floor, or in a chair. Furthermore, while he is up high, Jacob can also control external sounds not coming from the television, thus completing the cartoon without other's interruptions.
